Thanksgiving has already come and gone, and Christmas is four weeks away.  I honestly cannot believe 2017 is wrapping up and we’ll be ringing in 2018 in less than a month. This year has been the biggest for growth and change so far in my life, and I am anticipating 2018 will hold more opportunities for my family and me.

I hold an entirely different set of values than I did this time last year.  I fell for someone who lived 2,600 miles away, and we patiently waited through our long distance relationship until one of us could make a move.  In January, we found out we were expecting and Jacob took the leap and moved the majority of his life from Alaska to Montana.  Since arriving in my home state, he has helped me in raising my first daughter, Penelope, we have grown as a couple, and we are loving the time we spend with each other.  Our daughter, Nora, was born on September 5th after a very short but not-so-pleasant labor.

We have our futures ahead of us with our focus on family, health, finances, and our future home. He has taught me that we have to try our best to live with an “I-can-achieve-anything-if-I-work-for-it” attitude, and that life will always be hard but it will be worth it.  Opportunities to work from home have fallen into my lap, and I can’t help but be optimistic that these are the first of many things that go according to plan. During the first week of November, I became an Independent Distributor for Young Living, a world leader in essential oils, and I have loved sharing the benefits of these oils with those around me.  I continue to research and further my knowledge on these products every day.  I have also been lucky enough to be a part of a larger community that gives me access to an endless stream of educational resources and support that enable me to build and grow this business with the products I already use and love.

I plan on using this blog as a platform for content including parenting, health/fitness/weight loss, recipes, updates to Young Living, personal reviews on products, our path to home ownership, and the #mompreneur opportunities I come across.
